This is as close to a literary graphic novel as I have read. The words so precisely chosen create bold high contrast images, the layout describes the individual frames the internal narrative cast in clear black and white speech bubbles and that final double page spread image.... well that would have been the centre piece poster on my bedroom wall for most of my teenage years. There is something so Miller/ Moore/ Barker (this is meant as a compliment) here: justice given with no mercy. The why I have no idea, but the what and the how... oh yes, oh yes indeed.

That opener promised much, and I wasn’t disappointed. I do love a Komodo dragon.

I love them too but I would be afraid to pet them in Thailand I don't need a poison giant dog that hunts me.

I know the moment I start reading one of these that it is going to arrest my attention and not let go until I am at the end.

This piece was a good goddamn time.

My flash is very pugilist according to my friend Wallwork (Craig Wallwork also an indie horror writer not really on here though)

My flash has been known to be hard fast heavy hitters. It was so random that it came to me last night.

I was trying to think of a serial killer who worked at Hooters. I feel like I got the vibe. It was a fast one. Great flash. Thank you for the words!

It can be open interpretation it's ambiguous. I think usually people can sense when others are nervous, except Jupiter (MC) was nervous for the wrong reasons. Obsession and death. Notice how he had no dialogue. So we never knew his true intentions. He very well could have been a dealer, if I let it ferment longer.

I've never been to Hooters, I would rather go to a strip club with food. Personally. It's a weird cult like place. I have heard of people loving it. I just don't get it.

its basically a shit burger joint where the waitresses wear tacky uniforms and have big boobs. they do horrible shots and curly fries and encourage boozing and excess and a lot of yeeee haw type stuff...only in england it was especialky skin crawling becasue we don't really do "yeeee haw" with any real 'Murican feeling. soul sucking.

you're right a proper strip joint that did food would be more honest although i hate strip clubs and lap dancing bars etc.

I support strippers but I would have to know someone who's doing a show that day and support them. I also at one point was friends with a lot of burlesque dancers which is also nice. All the feathers and shit. Both are different atmospheres. I understand your position definitely.

Hooters is very tacky. I hope this made you chuckle because the twist was unexpected. Somehow better than Hooters. 😅

its not the strippers I hate - its the places and the whole male-evolence in them. I have had some great conversations with strippers and lap dancers - not that I have been to a club in like, forever. We did go blues dancing at a little bar that had burlesque nights, which we would catch some of - they seemd so jolly and vibrant and a totally different vibe - classy. like me (ahem)
